Colour Technician

Position Objective

Provide the most suitable colour based on the client’s preferred look, based on consulting with the client.

Primary Functions

• Listen, understand, and assess clients need and wants
• Recommend and offer alternatives best suited for each client
• Perform colour services fast and efficiently
• Assist in the education, growth, and success of others
• Seize opportunities in continued growth as a total image consultant
• Keep current with fashion trends
• Attend and participate in trade shows, fashion shows, and media events when necessary
• Keep work area clean at all times
• Assist in general salon and housekeeping duties

Key Relationships

• Report directly to salon manager
• Interact and work with salon coordinator, stylists and other colour technicians

• Enthusiastic, self motivated, creative individual with solid educational background in colour application
• Possess exceptional customer service and communication skills
• Able to generate and retain clientele
• Willing to go above and beyond for the client and for the salon
• Able to cross sell other services and products that the salon offers
